My Mother's Forest. Arthouse, 30min, drama (2015) UK. Set in just prior to the 20th Century Lithuania (historically the last country in Europe to abandon paganism). The story follows a young peasant woman Maria who still practices some pagan traditions passed on to her by her mother. Her mother's tragic death continues to haunt the village people. Maria falls in love with a catholic priest. It is a love that defies all the rules of the strict religious doctrine of the village of that time . Will the village people follow the inner voice of justice and harmony? The stories of the characters are accompanied by enigmatic score produced by composers Charlotte and Tiago in Berlin.
